Overview

This project challenges students to examine curriculum content through the eyes of a filmmaker. Elementary, Middle and High school students will create short documentary films exploring an area of curriculum through the use of visual media. Students will research their curriculum topic and incorporate digital images, audio and video to create a multimedia presentation. The Content Area curriculum is enhanced with the integration of technology to support student learning. Students will plan their movie using a story board. Students will research, create and demonstrate what they have learned by creating a movie using iMovie or Windows MovieMaker. The project is multi-disciplinary and incorporates information literacy, along with technology to further enhance student learning. The culminating activity is a short movie (2-5 minutes) showcasing student research and findings.
