Why Robotics?

It’s a challenge, it’s hands-on, it’s learning in action.  John Dewey set forth the theory that we learn better by doing – we take the knowledge and apply it.

With LEGO robotics and VEX robotics students learn by designing and building. The benefits of such a curriculum go beyond the science concepts that can be learned, the math theories that can be explained, and literacy skills that are practiced through communication between teammates, reflective journals and robot design worksheets; students express their creativity and learn to problem solve together to reach a goal – creating “cool robots” capable of awesome tasks.
Robotics offers a curriculum that engages students of different ages, interests, abilities, and learning styles. Few activities meld technology with other content areas so effectively and enjoyably.

What better way to prepare for a productive future!
