Enhancing technology driven instruction begins with the having the support necessary to reach higher standards. Today’s 21st century classroom relies on dependable access to technology in order to enhance the teaching and learning that teachers deliver and students receive. The goal of iSuport is to allow technology enhanced instruction to take place in way that enables classrooms to be transformed without the student or teacher wondering if the technology will work, they will be confident knowing that it will work.
OIT provides an important level of technical support to staff developers and schools. This includes ensuring:
1 - School building leaders are assisted to make informed technology decisions.
2 - Hardware and software application support.
3 - Installation of assistive, adaptive and augmentative devices where applicable.
4 - Maintenance of servers at Metrotech for adminstrative/ instructional programs.
5 - Borough Instructional Technology Specialists are trained and assisted accordingly.
6 - Development of instructional images/applications.
7 - Providing a SPOC with DIIT to support all instruction.
