Valrie has served the New York City Department of Education as a classroom teacher, math teacher, computer teacher, instructional technology specialist and instructional technology administrator over 18 years. She is committed to transforming teaching, learning and leading through technology in our learning communities.

You may be familiar with Kim from Early Childhood Education where she worked as an Early Childhood Instructional Specialist in Queens for several years. Prior to that, she worked as an Early Childhood Teacher for about 10 years and as her school’s Technology Teacher and Coordinator for about 10 years. She enjoys supporting educators in integrating Technology across curriculum areas to maximize instruction for all students and enhance communication. She looks forward to using Web 2.0 tools to move all educational communities closer to embracing 21st Century Tools.

Borough Instructional Technology Specialist -Brooklyn
Brad Velcoff grew up in Brooklyn, and has lived in New York City most of his life. He received his college degrees from SUNY at Albany, and has had a variety of education-related jobs. He managed a branch of the New York Public Library's adult literacy program, taught English at Bergen Community College and at Hudson Valley Community College, and he even wrote and rated questions for the English Regents. He taught English and Computers at the Bushwick Outreach Center for 8 years, and at other New York high schools. In his spare time he loves to listen to music and read voluminous novels.
