Shelley has been involved in various aspects of education for the past 20 years.  She has served the Department of Education as a Classroom and Title I Teacher, Library Media Specialist, Science and Instructional Technology Specialist, an Assistant Director of Instructional Technology, and Director of Instructional Technology.  She has also worked as an Adjunct Professor for Mercy College Department of Education.  Her goal as Assistant Director involves assisting her team in building a shared vision of effective communication and collaboration to cultivate their Professional Development instructional strategies.  She sees her current role as instrumental in being able to assist coaches in growing their school’s capacity with 21st Century Skills that students need be effective and productive “Digital Natives”.  She has a strong personal commitment to ensuring that all students have equitable access to technology regardless of their abilities.

Borough Instructional Technology Assistant Director - Bronx

Jacquii N. Leveine has been actively involved in the field of Instructional Technology and Media for the past eight years. In previous lives, she has served as a Technology Coordinator, Mobile Tablet Trainer, Title IID Staff Developer/Curriculum Writer, and Title IIB Math Project Coordinator for the New York City Department of Education.  She has worked with many schools to enhance education and learning through the integration of 21st Century technology innovations.  Jacquii is currently working for the Office of Instructional Technology as a Borough Instructional Technology Assistant Director of the Bronx.  In this capacity, she is proactively involved in the coordination and management of instructional technology professional development services to instructional coaches throughout the city.  Her education is inclusive of a BFA, MA and Advanced Certificate from City College, CUNY, Teachers College Columbia University, and Hunter College, CUNY respectively.

Borough Instructional Technology Specialist - Bronx

Prior to joining the NYCDOE, Arlene completed her teaching internship at the Renbrook School in Connecticut.  In 1998, she earned a Master of Education in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  Since joining the DOE, in 1999, Arlene has worked in a variety of roles.  Most recently she served as the Instructional Technology Specialist with City Hall Academy.  Now as a Borough Instructional Technology Specialist (BITS) in the Bronx, she is still passionate about introducing teachers to technology resources that enhance their pedagogical toolkit for all content areas and focusing on infusing technology into what is already occurring in classrooms.

Arlene is the BITS liaison for District 11 and some schools in District 10.

Shelia Graham has worked as a Computer Education and Early Childhood Teacher for ten years.  She has spent the last nine years of her career serving as a Technology Instructional Specialist.  Ms. Graham has a Bachelors of Science in Computing and Management, a Master of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Professional Diploma in District Leadership and Technology.  In her current role as Borough Instructional Technology Specialist, she provides professional development services to School Technology Liaisons in Districts Nine and Ten.

Borough Instructional Technology Specialist - Bronx

Dr. Hunter’s background includes over 30 years in the Educational Industry.  She has been an elementary school teacher, writer and producer for a variety of children’s entertainment projects.  Her expertise as a pioneer introducing techniques to promote educational reform for all levels and styles of teaching and learning, includes early childhood, elementary and adult education.  Currently, Lynn is a Borough Instructional Technology Specialist, working for the Office of Instructional Technology, under the iCoach initiative in the Bronx.  She has pioneered a new vision for classroom instruction utilizing videoconferencing as a tool for educational reform in a Global Community.  She has installed equipment, trained teachers and coordinated corporate level Distance Learning Centers throughout the city.  Dr. Hunter has presented her vision for Videoconferencing in the classroom at state and national conferences and has been invited to speak about Distance Learning to educators around the world.

Dr. Hunter is the lead BITS liaison to District 10.

Borough Instructional Technology Specialist - Bronx

Ebony has recently joined the Office of Instructional Technology as a Borough Instructional Technology Specialist (BITS) and brings with her experience as a curriculum developer, coordinator of out-of-school-time activities, a leader in creating school-corporate partnerships and a career in the construction industry.  Ebony earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from New York University.  She holds NYS Certifications in Technology Education and School Building Leader.  Ebony has taught Electronics and Pre-Engineering for several years at a Career and Technical Education High School and was recognized as a UFT Outstanding Vocational & Technical Education Teacher for 2004.  She has organized and guided a student-lead robotics team that was recognized for exceptional performance with the “Judges’ Award” and “Regional Finalist” in the 2003 FIRST NYC Regional Robotics Competition.  As an educator, Ebony believes she can fully realize her personal mission to “make a positive difference through service to others.”

Ebony is the BITS liaison to District 7 and some schools in District 10.

Tim hails from northern Illinois near Chicago and attended college in Milwaukee.  At 20 years old, he began a career as Photographer and eventually moved to New York to pursue that dream.  It was while working as a photographer in New York and witnessing a paradigm shift to digital photography that peaked his interest and involvement with computers.  Tim enjoyed working with the computer so much that he decided to change careers and pursued a degree in Computer Operations.  After completing his degree, Tim joined the NYCDOE in 2000 and has worked in elementary, middle and high schools throughout the city.
