Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT)

Title II, Part D – Enhancing Education Through Technology

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 provides a number of exciting reforms, tools and programs, many of which are reliant on the appropriate and effective use of technology.  In a target effort to improve student achievement through the use of technology, an new educational technology program, namely, Enhancing Education Through Technology is outlined in Title II D of NCLB.  

The Competitive Grant

Federal Definitions of Eligible LEAs

      High-Need Local Education Agency or eligible local partnership.

  1. Is among the LEAs in a state with highest numbers or percentages of children from families with incomes below the poverty line; and
  2. Serves at least one school identified as in need of improvement or corrective action under Title I; or
  3. Has a substantial need for assistance in acquiring and using technology.
